This engine was produced for
part of an interactive presentation showing the varying components
and systems that go make up the whole engine.
With the base engine being useless without the fire detection
systems, oil pumps, speed, heat and vibration sensors etc.
The aim of the presentation was to show the importance of
each element and to show where they are in relation to the
engine unit.
Working from only a marketing poster (as photographic reference
was restricted) we were able to create the main engine from
just that one image.
The end result was rotating engine turbine with an exterior
shell which could be shown as an animated cut-away. Components
and engine parts could then be highlighted and faded accordingly.

The various components
were supplied as a variety of formats. From Unigraphics
CAD data, engineering data sheets, photographs and
real-word objects.
