Quotation
As with most project enquiries we can only quote based on
seeing an initial brief, the type and quality of the supplied
data, and any other extra information that you can provide.
'Ball Park' figures are not something we usually entertain.
As a general rule of thumb - the more data and the clearer
the brief - then the more accurate the quotation.
Project meeting
Once we have confirmation of the project and acceptance
we will meet to discuss your requirements and expectations.
At this stage we will assess the data provided and the formats
supplied. Some data may not be available until later in
the the project and this will be reviewed and outlined as
necessary, as this will invariably affect the cost slightly.
We will also discuss the number and type of output required,
special requirements and key elements you wish highlighted
e.g. for use as a lighting study, showing a mechanical concept
or branding for a product.
First stage approval
The first stage approval is basically filling in the canvas
so you have an idea of what the visual/visuals may look
like. This image is so that initial comments and discussions
can take place and to show the direction of the work. We
stress that this is usually only a 30-40% work complete
at this point. It is easier for you to give feedback when
there is something to look at, and this clears up and reassures
what will be expected and what is to be delivered. Sometimes
this stage isn't necessary.
Second stage approval
This is usually the stage where we can't work on any further
due to limited information, or there are other details need
to be confirmed or adjusted (such as lighting, shadows,
materials and camera angles.) At this stage changes are
logged on a check-list. The reason for this is that some
changes can be implemented more easily than others - we
always factor for a reasonable set of changes at this point.
Third stage approval
This is where details discussed at second stage are assessed
and finalised. This may involve producing a few images for
approval as subtle details are ironed out. At this point
we remain fairly flexible to changes we have agreed from
second stage approval - providing they were initially on
the check-list. Sometimes minor changes can be implemented
very easily and if time permits we will tweak the visual
until it reaches sign-off stage.
Sign off and delivery
Once sign-off has been agreed we will send out the image
at print resolution (either on CD or via FTP download)
